„Amber Duck 2019” was awarded to Loconi Intermodal. The committee of this honorary award granted it to our company for handling the record number of intermodal containers in 2018 in Poland – 184K TEUs transported to and from Polish ports.
The Amber Duck gala is an annual meeting of over 2,000 professionals from the supply-chain industry – shipping companies, freight forwarders, carriers and intermodal operators, both Polish and foreign, as well as the representatives of central government and local authorities.
The event has been organized for 19 years and it is a perfect opportunity to meet current customers, competitors, sub-contractors or peers, and also establish some new business relations, enjoying good food and friendly atmosphere.
The gala is held traditionally on the second Friday of October, however the winners of the prestigious awards granted by Polish Chamber of Maritime Commerce are announced earlier, in the spring.
In the previous years we were awarded twice with the Amber Egg prize – in 2014 for the introduction and development of the intermodal lines and in 2017 for flexibility and responsiveness to dynamic market conditions and consistent pursuit of the adopted strategy of development of intermodal transport in Poland.
We perceive the Amber Duck award as a great honor and sign of recognition of our everyday engagement in service for our Customers. It does not mean, though, that we are going to rest on our laurels now!
