On 16-18 August the 26th Polish Cabin Yacht Championship and the Blue Ribbon of Niegocin Lake races were held in Giżycko. As fans of sailing, we were really pleased to be among the sponsors of that event.
This year’s Polish Championship attracted 56 crews with 185 sailors competing in T1, T2, T3 and Tango categories, while the Blue Ribbon races were held in Open and Catamaran categories. Similarly to previous years, the regatta contenders could enjoy wonderful August sunlight, however insufficient wind strongly disturbed the races. Yet, during the three days, six races of the T categories and eight races of the Tango, Open and Catamaran categories were held.
The organizers made sure that the troubles with the wind did not affect the integration of the sailors. They could spend both evenings at the barbecue, tasting regional food and listening to good music until late hours.
